___The center of Lacanau is only 20min away by car of Bombannes. The center is near Lacanau Ocean, big tourist place for surfers all around france. The center is new, and has the UCPA International Accreditation (all signs and information and translated in english.) My main goal when visiting Lacanau was to meet with the Horse complex right next to the center as UCPA France is trying to set up an agreement to start having Horse riding in lacanau. (Horse riding in France is mainly inland. This would be the first center where stagiaires can go with their horses to the sandy beaches.) |

___Busses operate the Bordeaux - Lacanau line. Same Bus line as the one for Bombannes.

Horse Riding : Nothing is yet available for stagiaires how ever UCPA and Vital Parc are trying to work together to open a Horse riding stage in Lavanau, Hopefully for summer 2008. Vital Parc is a big Horse entreprise, with more than 100 horses and stables, a solarium for horses (only top horse clubs have it) and an Olympic "carriere", where most competitions take place. All types of horses are available, from poneys for beginners, to well trained horses for professionals. All the lessons take place on site, either on the "carriere" for advanced groups, either on a smaller field for beginners. Once a certain level of autonomy is reached by the stagiaire, ballads can be organised, either to the sea on the sandy beaches and dunes, by the lake only 5min away, or in the forest. (More than 30 different balads.) |
